 ADELAIDE MEDICAL CENTRE NEWS

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) FURTHER DOWN THIS PAGE

  • WE ARE NOW MOVING TO A SYSTEM OF PHONE TRIAGE FOR ALL OUR PATIENTS.  IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED THIS WILL BE CHANGED TO A PHONE CONSULTATION.  THE DR WILL TRY AND MANAGE YOUR CARE ON THE PHONE AND WILL ADVISE IF YOU STILL NEED TO COME INTO THE SURGERY.

  • IN ALL CASES: Do not come into the surgery if you have any symptoms however mild (eg Fever, new continuous cough) and follow latest advice to self isolate at home.

Appointment System

1) Ordinary Appointments

  • Can be booked up to three weeks in advance.
  • Booked by telephone, in person at the surgery, or via the practice website.
  • Typically 15 minutes long.

2) 48 Hour Appointments

  • There are some appointments that can be booked only 48hrs (2days) in advance.
  • Booked by telephone, in person at the surgery, or via the practice website.
  • Typically 15 minutes long.

 3) Urgent Appointments

  • For Situations that can't wait.
  • Patients seen on the same day.
  • Booked by telephone, or in person at the surgery.
  • Appointment times are given, but you will need to wait.
  • Typically 10 minutes (one health issue only)

Finally, patients are asked to be patient if a Doctor is running late. This is normally, because the Doctor has found that a previous patient has taken more time to deal with than been anticipated. After all, one day it may be your turn to require more time for your appointment.
