 ADELAIDE MEDICAL CENTRE NEWS

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) FURTHER DOWN THIS PAGE

  • WE ARE NOW MOVING TO A SYSTEM OF PHONE TRIAGE FOR ALL OUR PATIENTS.  IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT BOOKED THIS WILL BE CHANGED TO A PHONE CONSULTATION.  THE DR WILL TRY AND MANAGE YOUR CARE ON THE PHONE AND WILL ADVISE IF YOU STILL NEED TO COME INTO THE SURGERY.

  • IN ALL CASES: Do not come into the surgery if you have any symptoms however mild (eg Fever, new continuous cough) and follow latest advice to self isolate at home.

Training and Education

stethescope_blue_bookWe are a training practice, which means at times we have fully qualified doctors spending time with us to gain experience in general practice. As part of their training to become a GP, registrars and newly qualified hospital doctors are required to video some of their consultations or to be observed by a senior colleague. You will be asked for your consent, before and after the consultation, if you are happy to have your consultation recorded.

The Practice is regularly involved in teaching medical students. They learn a great deal by observing other doctors and seeing patients. However, your permission will always be requested before a student is present during your consultation.
