Most NHS referrals are sent by your GP using a secure online system called ‘e-Referrals’ to the Camden Clinical Assessment Service (CCAS). You should receive a phone call, letter or email from CCAS within two weeks of your GP having sent your referral. They will offer you an appointment at the hospital of your choice and will be able to advise you about current waiting times (which vary between different hospital and departments and at different times of the year).

The Central & East London Breast Screening Service provides breast screening services for women in Camden (and other North London boroughs) who are over 50 years old.
Every three years, Camden resident women aged 50 to 70 are automatically invited to the breast screening service at Kentish Town Health Centre.

Contraceptive & Family Planning Referrals
The GP's and Practice Nurses have all been trained in Family Planning & Contraception. We are unable to offer coil fitting or contraceptive implants at the surgery. There are a number of family planning clinics in Camden that you can attend without GP referral for coil fitting, contraceptive implants, general contraceptive advice and smear tests.

Big White Wall
Big White Wall has two services available to Camden residents, plus a range of tools that allow users to manage themselves more effectively.
1. Support Network – this online, fully moderated peer support community is accessible by anyone over the age of 16 and is available 24/7. This is an anonymous service and allows an individual access for a period of up to six months.
2. Live Therapy – provides online 1-to-1 therapy using audio, webcam and instant messaging via a secure platform for people over the age of 18. To access this service, an individual will need to provide personal details. On average, people will access 10 therapy sessions (50 minutes each), however this will be reviewed should the individual require more. If an individual is deemed unsuitable for Live Therapy, they will be referred to an alternative service.
Both services work on a self-referral basis which means Big White Wall gives Camden residents the opportunity to take control, allowing them to feel better, sooner.
People in Camden will be able to get support that suits their lifestyle and most importantly, their needs – day or night.

Physiotherapy / MSK
A community physiotherapy service is provided in Camden by Connect Physiotherapy. They provide general physiotherapy, musculoskeletal, pain management and women’s health physiotherapy services from a number of GP practices and health centres throughout Camden.
You can refer yourself to the service by calling 0207 871 0545 to make an appointment. Your initial contact with one of their chartered physiotherapists may be over the phone, where you will either be given advice on appropriate treatment, or a face-to-face consultation will be arranged.
You can also speak to your GP and they can refer you directly. If you are referred by your GP, Connect will contact you within 48 hours to arrange an appointment.

Camden Online Psychological Therapy
Camden Online Psychological Therapy is provided by Ieso Digital Health, delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) online. This is a free NHS Service

The Camden & Islington Bladder & Bowel Care Service sees both adults and children(from the age of 3 years) who have bladder or bowel problems (including bed & daytime wetting, constipation, excluding stoma care). Your GP can refer you to this service or you can refer yourself by phoning 0203 316 8401
Camden's Healthy Living practitioners work one to one with local children, young people (aged 4-17) and their families to help improve diet, build confidence and increase physical activity through goal setting, education and support.
Part of Camden's School Nursing service the sessions are provided in schools, community venues or through home visits. The practitioners can work with young people directly, without parents being present (with parental consent).
The service is for children and young people who:
Are aged 4-17, and
Have a BMI on or above the 91st percentile, and
Are resident in Camden, or registered with a Camden GP, or attend school in Camden
Will also see families if are significant weight-related concerns, for example rapid weight gain but below 91st centile.

The Community Weight Management Service is provided by Camden Sports & Physical Activity Service. They provide a 12 week group weight-loss programme of exercise and dietary advice for overweight or obese adults. It comprises nutritional advice, healthy eating guidance and support to get active.

- If your Body Mass Index is more then 25
- If you are registered at this surgery

Sexual Health Referrals
If would like to discuss testing for sexually transmitted diseases, please make an appointment with a GP or practice nurse. Alternatively, there are a number of sexual health (GUM) clinics in central and north London offer testing and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs), including HIV tests. You do not need a referral from your GP.

Camden Foot Care (Podiatry) Service provides assessment, treatment and advice for people with skin, nail or mechanical foot problems, and for people with diabetes. Clinics are mostly held at the Belsize Priory Clinic.
The service accepts referrals from GPs and other healthcare professionals for patients aged between 16 and 60.
If you are aged under 16 or over 60, or have a medical condition that places your feet at risk of ulceration and infection, you can refer yourself by completing the podiatry referral form below.

The service is not suitable for people with who have a verruca or who need custom shoes - you should speak to your GP about these problems. The service does not see patients of any age who have otherwise healthy feet and only require toenail cutting. A nail cutting service is provided by Age UK Camden or phone 020 7794 6588.
